WVR/RFL Wolfman Frankenmech - 3rd Succession War
This monstrosity is the result of a particularly good ol' fashion mech battle on Bergman's Planet in 2986 where Ullman's Wolverine was all but destroyed by a Davion Marauder. Left with little left to salvage after he had to eject from the his machine Ullman was staring down the barrel of dispossession. Fortunately for him The Legion of Vega held the field and his more than able tech was able to salvage the torso of a Davion Rifleman and (somehow, mostly with bailing wire and duct tape one supposes) attached it to the legs of the Wolverine; thus giving Ullman a nearly complete Battlemech to continue serving the Dragon.
Nearly complete in that it lacked the fire control system of the rifleman, and thus couldn't engage air targets. It also had to be turned awkwardly in a backwards shuffle and the waste was locked in place like and injured man in a torso brace. And the engine spiked heat, and probably radiation - not that anyone would notice in the wasteland of mech combat that was the 3rd Succession War.
Overall a sub-par machine, but hey - a ride is a ride after all - and in the last years of the Succession Wars sometimes that's all that mattered. Is the design still game legal? I don't know, but its a fun story and adding in quirks like no torso twist, or increased engine heat etc makes for more fun game play so in my house rules, its good to go.
This one is painted in my Legion of Vega standards cold grey from Vallejo and Khorne Red from Game Workshop.
