"Blades of Death" - 2nd Co; 1st Bn, 5th SoL Circa 3028
During the 4th Succession War Takashi Kurita wanted to strike into the Federated Suns and seize a key star system in support of there Kapteyn Accord allies. One of the key objectives for this effort was Northwind defended by the 5th Deneb Light Cavalry, as well as the mercenary Team Banzai and the Kell Hound associated battalion Bradley's Bravos. Takashi dispatched General Conti of the 5th Sword of Light; the 36th Dieron Regulars and the newly formed Genyosha. The battle quickly degenerated into a slugfest, one that the DCMS was going to lose good men and material and a lot of time to win. Rather than fight the Fedrats on an open field General Conti used a raid on a water reservoir to poison many of the Deneb Cavalry units and nearly turn the entire thing into a route.
